A meeting place for elegance, for Parisians accustomed to the beautiful and the good, for artists and creative people from near and far, the Restaurant Bachaumont was a lively place dedicated exclusively to the pleasures and joys of life.
The whole of Paris at the time - aristocrats, bourgeois and philosophers - flocked to attend the various debates hosted by the writer M. Bachaumont, debates that could last for hours, even into the early hours of the morning.
At the Grand Hôtel de Bachaumont, the food was as legendary as it was generous. The whole of Paris would flock there to taste the 3-day-old veal shank confit or the impressive prime rib, both tender and juicy. Mr Bachaumont passed on to us his passion for the French art of entertaining and his love of generous, convivial cuisine. The teams at the Bachaumont bar and restaurant have made it their mission to bring this exceptional experience back to life for their guests.
THE KITCHEN
The cuisine on offer is one of sharing, with an emphasis on raw, seasonal produce, sourced mainly from French producers.
A return to our roots, with a focus on traditional French cuisine using quality seasonal produce sourced from small French producers.
The restaurant's culinary philosophy is to offer dishes that are both generous and gourmet, concocted by a dedicated kitchen team.
The menu changes daily and offers a €29 starter, main course and dessert from Monday to Friday.
THE BAR
At the bar, a team of enthusiasts with distinct personalities, in tune with the times, leather aprons and tea towels at their waists, are ready to help you discover original and unique cocktails, made from French products.
Traditional spirits such as cognac and calvados are featured in many of the cocktails.
Twice a year, the cocktail menu is reinvented: ten cocktails are offered with alcohol and two without. The head barman designs his cocktails with the same ethical sourcing in mind: vodka, gins and French spirits, for example, are all produced in Alsace by Lehmann.
